Magnet Safety
PINpeg Magnetic Headphone Holder
The PINpeg is a magnetic mounted device. The magnet has a pull force of 39 LBS so it is very strong! The PINpeg magnet is not a toy and should be kept away from small children. The magnet can pinch your fingers if you get your finger under the magnet. Always hold the PINpeg by the body when you install it and not by the magnet. Never put the PINpeg near a cell phone, a watch or credit/bank cards. Never put the magnet near a pacemaker or other implanted medical devices. The strong forces of the magnet can damage these items! |
WARNING: PLEASE READ BEFORE USE
Disclaimer: It is required that the buyer reads and understands these instructions thoroughly before using these magnets. The buyer must agree that they are responsible for any damage to the magnets and injuries incurred due to improper handling. If you do not agree to these terms, please return these magnets promptly.
Warning: Both small and large magnets can pose dangers to children and adults. Mishandling of these magnets may cause serious bodily injury or damage to property if handled incorrectly. Keep all magnets away from people who are wearing electronic medical implants or other medical devices. Keep magnets away from electronic items that are sensitive to magnetic fields such as CRT TVs & monitors, credit or debit cards, hard drives, or magnetic tape.
CAUTIONS
- Always keep magnets two feet apart from each other or steel items to avoid becoming attracted to objects and behaving unpredictably.
Magnets are fragile and may cause injury
All magnets are brittle and will break if they are allowed to collide with a magnetic surface or each other.
- Shards produced from broken magnets are very sharp and can be ejected from collisions.
- Handle with care. Larger magnets can cause serious injuries due to pinching. Magnets less than ¾” are safe for children over 10 with adult supervision. Magnets over ¾” are recommended for adult use only.
- ALL SMALL MAGNETS, including magnetic pushpins, magnetic toys, etc. pose a choking hazard, and can be lethal if swallowed. Seek immediate medical attention if any magnets are swallowed.
- Under no circumstances should you try to cut, saw or drill Neodymium magnets. Not only would the magnet break, but the resulting dust from the magnet is very flammable. Neodymium magnets should never be burned, as burning them will create toxic fumes.
SMALL MAGNET SAFETY
Any magnets that can be swallowed are classified as small parts by the CPSC and pose a choking hazard that may result in death if swallowed.
Small Magnet Disclaimer: Children should not be allowed to handle neodymium magnets as they can be dangerous. Small magnets pose a choking hazard and should never be swallowed or inserted into any part of the body.
For children’s safety, any magnets less than 1.25” are for commercial use only. If you purchase such magnets for non-commercial uses, you are fully responsible for your safety, children, adult and animal included.
