Why use a PINsmx II?

1. The PINsmx has five adjustable inputs for up to five pinball machines.
2. It isolates the grounds from all the pinball machines connected to it. Isolating the grounds avoids ground loops. A Polk PSW10 subwoofer does not isolate the ground between the left and right RCA inputs. Pinnovators headphone kits require an isolated ground between machines in order for the mute feature to work properly.
3. Technically, you could use two PINsmx boxes and run them into the L and R of a subwoofer. By doing that you could then run eight games into one subwoofer. You would probably not want to play all the games at the same time.
4. The adjustable levels let you balance the volume from each machine to your liking.
5. Plug and PLAY! The PINsmx is designed to accept the subwoofer output of any Pinnovators Headphone or PINsub kit.
6. No cutting or stripping of wires.

What happens when two or more machines are being used at the same time?

The sounds from the machines will come out of the subwoofer at the same time.  It's ok to have a few games playing at the same time.  The sound may become muddled if five machines are playing at the same time.  That being said, if you have a separate subwoofer on each machine the sound still mixes together (in the air) and becomes muddled also.

Troubleshooting

Are you getting no sound or low sound from your PINsmx?

Here are some things to try...

• Did you turn up the level adjuster pot in the PINsmx?
• Try bypassing the PINsmx and go directly into the subwoofer with the machine that is having the issue.
• Try plugging a pair of headphones directly into the green connector (or black) on the PINsub board you are using.
• If using a PINsub Multi-System, make sure the posi-tap is fully connecting.
